Pupils at Cam Everlands have spent this term learning about eggs and ducklings. Four duck eggs were brought into the classroom where they were incubated and hatched. Reception teacher Elaine Cook said: “The children have had an exciting time watching the eggs slowly hatch in an incubator, watching the ducklings take their first wobbly steps and this week watching the ducklings take their first paddle.” The children named the ducks Lizzie, Rex, Rosie and Terry. “We have had lots of duck cuddle lessons where we have learnt about handling animals safely and talking about the changes we can see as they have grown.
