They can’t go to nearby personal care homes to perform Christmas concerts amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, but students at Canadian Mennonite University still want to connect with residents. We want to do something to put a smile on their faces in these hard times, Carley Matkowski said of the CMU plan to send Christmas cards to residents of nearby Lindenwood Manor and Rosewood Retirement Community.
Together with others at the Winnipeg-based university, the fourth-year student is organizing a Christmas card writing project through the student-run Witness Through Service committee.
