The general public waited 405 days to attend its first men’s lacrosse game in the renovated Carrier Dome. On Saturday, 683 fans watched Syracuse’s game against North Carolina, potentially the last and only home game this season that the general public was able to attend.
Syracuse welcomed a limited number of students back to the Dome beginning on March 6, and just over a month later, the general public returned for SU’s women’s lacrosse game on April 10.
Parents who waited a year to watch their kids play in the Dome were in attendance on Saturday and last weekend, too.
The operation involved Avon and Somerset Police and the Met SIX people are due to appear in court after being charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs following a number of county lines warrants being carried out in Yeovil and London this week. In total, 10 addresses were searched across the two areas in a joint-operation involving the Met Police. Three warrants were carried out in Somerset on Wednesday (February 10), involving officers and staff in local neighbourhood teams, CID, Operation Remedy and operational support teams. The six people charged are Kyeron Silk, 27, from Yeovil; Sonny Sheppard, 31, from Greenwich; Kevin Sheppard, 50, from Bridgwater; Bianca Gillespie, 32, of no fixed address; Tia Heenan, 24, from Soho; and Sulaiman Musa, 30, from Greenwich.
