CLEVELAND, Ohio – Jadeveon Clowney is coming back to Cleveland for a second visit. The draft is looming at the end of the month. Browns fans have lots of questions:
Hey, Terry: Does is make sense to sign Jadeveon Clowney to an incentive-laden contract (one or two years) to keep him motivated? He’s only 28 and a 3-time Pro Bowler.

The Cleveland Browns didn t waste time on Monday, signing 14 players to futures deals.
Many of the names are familiar names that have been hanging around much of the season, be it on the edges of the active roster or the practice squad.
Elijah Benton, S Liberty - Productive safety that has no less upside than many of the players at his position that will be available later in the NFL Draft this year. He led the Flames in both solo tackles and pass deflections in his final year.
JaMarkus Bradley, WR Louisiana Lafeyette - Bradley was on the practice squad all season, but had to be activated for a handful of games. When the Browns lost their wide receiver room for their game against the New York Jets, Bradley caught five passes and looked pretty solid in the process. A receiver in the mold of someone like Rashard Higgins.
Opening statement:
“Injury front wise, (WR) Donovan Peoples-Jones will be back out there today having cleared the (concussion) protocols. We will not have (T) Jack Conklin out there due to illness and (CB) Terrence Mitchell – not injury related.
“On the COVID front, getting (S Andrew) Sendejo and (LB) B.J. Goodson back, as well as (S) Elijah Benton on the practice squad. Coach-wise, (pass game coordinator/wide receivers coach) Chad O’Shea will be back out there today. For the game, similar to last week, (coaching assistant) Ryan Cordell will handle the offensive line, (Chief of Staff) Callie Brownson will handle the tight ends and (assistant defensive backs coach) Brandon Lynch will handle the defensive backs. As you know, (special teams coordinator) Coach (Mike) Priefer will handle the head coaching duties.
