EXETER – Mayor George Finch stepped in front of the camera during the Breakfast with the MayorMay 4 to speak about the successes and challenges the municipality has faced over the last year.
The annual event, hosted by the Exeter BIA and the South Huron Chamber of Commerce, invites attendees to connect with the mayor and ask questions, though questions for this year’s breakfast were submitted in advance since the event was held online.

The sun shined and the river shimmered. It was, as more than one of the many speakers noted Wednesday, the perfect weather to announce work on the last part of the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy s vision of the east side of the RiverWalk.
Dignitaries gathered at Mt. Elliott Park in Detroit for a groundbreaking ceremony. It s been 20 years we ve been working on this project, Matt Cullen, chairman of the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, said, adding a story about bringing his son to the site when he was a boy. It s a big day for us.
The riverfront has long been vital to Detroit s history, even before the city was founded.
