VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) The contract for a Mississippi school district’s superintendent has been extended and he’s getting a raise.
The Vicksburg Warren School District Board of Trustees approved the extension Thursday for Superintendent Chad Shealy, who’s now under contract through June 30, 2024. His annual salary was also increased to $190,800, The Vicksburg Post reported.
“I have often said that we have the best board in the state of Mississippi,” Shealy said. “They have made countless decisions about our path forward, always keeping their commitment of doing what is best for the children of this community. I am both humbled and excited about their ongoing support. I don’t want to be anywhere else but Vicksburg.”
