Kids at the school collected Christmas cards and presents to hand into the 16 residents of Blackwood Care home on Belses Gardens in Cardonald during a special Covid-safe visit on Friday. A handful of pupils visited the care home, along with unofficial school mascot, Winston the cockapoo, to hand over presents and spread cheer to residents. Deputy Head Teacher of Hillington Primary, Laura Davidson, said: “The idea for the presents came after a pupil’s mum, who works at the care home, brought the need to keep the care home in our thought at Christmas to our attention.
