They were upset when Jack died, they were upset when Rosemary was introduced to the show and she was trying to split up Jack and Elizabeth. I ve always interpreted that as not a negative thing, even if some of the fans are upset, it s not a negative thing. It s indicative of how much they care, how much they love and care about these characters and about the storylines and how invested they are. I think that s a positive indication of the show, of how much p

When Calls The Heartâs Season 8 finale was the culmination of multiple seasons of romantic angst for one Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow). The Hallmark show lost main character Jack Thornton back in 2018 and has spent the last few seasons having Elizabeth raise Jackâs son, keeping Jack s memory alive while, of course, choosing between two handsome new love interests: Nathan and Lucas.

More recently, Lucas and Elizabeth had begun a tentative courtship, but that was cut a little short once Elizabeth seemingly still showed interest in what Nathan had to offer. Both men have merits, or as Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) noted:

ET spoke with series stars Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith about their characters’ plans for starting a family (whether naturally or through adoption), why they’re “definitely championing” this potential storyline in season 9 and what it would take to make it happen. Plus, the actors react to the season 8 finale bombshell: Elizabeth’s decision to set Nathan free and pursue a romance with Lucas.

When Calls the Heart Season 8 ended with an emotional episode that saw Elizabeth Thornton (played by Erin Krakow) embarking on a romantic relationship with Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally). While two characters got closer, one got further away as Dr. Carson Shepherd (Paul Greene) said goodbye to Hope Valley and headed to Baltimore.
In the previous episode of the Hallmark Channel hit, which has now been renewed for Season 9, Carson had been debating whether to accept the fellowship at Johns Hopkins and follow his dream of becoming a surgeon, or to propose to Faith (Andrea Brooks). Faith has been left without the man she loves, and
