Kristina M. Mottorn Arrested for Leandra Law Violation; BAC at .22% By: Staff Reporter Sheriff Michael Filicetti announces the arrest of 32-year-old Kristina M. Mottorn of Niagara Falls, under the Leandra’s Law statute. On July 31st, 2021, a Niagara County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle on Saunders Settlement Road at Buffalo Street in the Town of Lewiston for erratic driving and lane violations. The Deputy identified the driver of the vehicle as Mottorn and observed three young children in the vehicle. Following an investigation and field sobriety testing, it was determined Mottorn was intoxicated. Mottorn was subsequently arrested and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (Leandra’s Law violation), three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Resisting Arrest, and several Vehicle and Traffic violations.
