4 Erick Wren has wanted to coach for as long as he can remember. It’s always been the plan for his post-playing career, and now the former Oklahoma starting center will get a shot coaching at the game’s highest level.
Wren, who spent last season as an OU graduate assistant, recently accepted a position with the Miami Dolphins. He’ll be a coaching assistant, helping with the Dolphins’ offensive line and tight ends.
“I want to be the best at what I do,” Wren said. “I want to be better than Vince Lombardi. That’s my mindset, and that’s the way I’ve always thought, even back when I was a walk-on and at the bottom of the depth chart. I always thought, ‘I’m gonna be number one.’”
