FLINT, MI It took years for the old Jefferson Elementary School to fall into the hands of the city of Flint, and it’s going to take more time before it’s future is settled.
1st Ward Councilman Eric Mays said Wednesday, Feb. 17, that he wants a new vote on the sale of the property to 2nd Chance Church because a 2019 resolution to sell the building at 5306 North St. for $1,000 didn’t name who the property would be sold to and was never acted on by former Mayor Karen Weaver or current Mayor Sheldon Neeley.

PEORIA, AZ â Charges have been dismissed against the Valley father accused of kidnapping his own son and killing the childâs mother.
Earlier this week we learned Eric Maes attempted suicide while in a Maricopa County jail. Maricopa County Attorney s Office tells ABC15 Maes is not likely to survive, which is ultimately why charges against him were dismissed. It really wouldn t do a whole lot with the conviction charge sticking but maybe, it would help with some closure I guess,â says Michael Scott Walker Jr., the victimâs brother.
