Days after Carnegie President Eric Isaacs announced on 2 April that the nonprofit institution was finalizing the building s sale to Qatar, more than 140 Carnegie scientists, students, and staff members wrote to Isaacs and the board of trustees, protesting the sale in light of what they called Qatar s dismal human rights record.
