Emily Mahoney s sudden and unexpected move to San Antonio didn t allow for her to bring all of her plants.
In February, the 35-year-old gardener had to rush more than 1,000 miles from Tampa, Florida to Texas in order to care for her elderly mother. Only a few of her plants made the journey to her new home. Among the plants to make the cut was her mango tree of the Pickering dwarf variety.

Four charged with underage drinking
ELLSWORTH Officers conducting an underage drinking detail on May 29 found a 17-year-old Bar Harbor girl and an 18-year-old man who had been drinking alcohol. The 17-year-old was released to a parent, after receiving a summons to appear in court for illegal possession of alcohol by a minor. Garret Rodgers, 18, of Ellsworth was arrested and charged with furnishing liquor to a minor, providing a place for a minor to consume liquor and illegal possession of liquor by a minor. Two additional 17-year-olds were issued summonses for possession of liquor by a minor, and a fifth person was arrested on charges of driving after license suspension.
