North Star speech and drama team headed to state
Press release The North Star Speech and Drama Team is going to state Thursday through Saturday. Last Saturday, the Class BC Northern Divisional Meet was held virtually by Chester-Joplin-Inverness High School, and all five North Star participants are headed to state, hosted by Huntley Project. In drama, the dramatic duo acting of Choral Wicks and Kaden Frickel placed fourth. In speech, Garret Pedersen placed second in impromptu speaking, Collin Welch took second in humorous oral interpretation of literature and Emily Conner took second in spontaneous oral interpretation of literatu. North Star Speech & Drama Competes
North Star Speech & Drama competed at the Three Forks Invitational on Saturday, January 16th. Don t worry about a thing.the students did NOT compete in person down at Three Forks because of the heavy fog. Thanks to our modern day technology, they were able to be there virtually. Emily Conner competed in Humorous Interpretation for the FIRST time with a fine piece entitled, Counting to Three . Garret Pedersen competed in Impromptu Speaking, & made made it all the way to semi s & then, the FINALS placing 9th. This past weekend was the FINAL regular meet hosted by Great Falls Central. I ll be posting those results from Great Falls Central later this week on my Puffman Blog.
North Star competitors do well in Three Forks meet
Press release North Star High School speech and drama competed at the Three Forks Invitational from home Saturday due to heavy fog. Only two North Star Knights competed but they both did well. Competing in humorous interpretation of literature for the first time was Emily Conner with a piece titled “Counting to Three.” Garret Pedersen competed in impromptu speaking and made it to semifinals and then finals and placed eighth at the tournament This coming weekend is the final Class BC regular meet, hosted by Great Falls Central. .
