What does every billionaire property developer require? Well, a tunnel of course. An effective device to link up the disparate entities of their expansive estates â the underground car museum, the multiple swimming pools, the dance studio, gym, cinema as well as the rest of the house.
Christian Candy, 46, one half of the billionaire Candy brothers, has just been given the green light to carry out just this â to dig two huge tunnels connecting his £150 million estate, known as Candyland in Egham, Surrey.

Not only has he won permission to construct the tunnels but he has also been given the okay to demolish a gatehouse and stables, in order to replace them with a new building and garage (much to the reported irritation of their neighbours).
