Heading into November of 2020, Pueblo County funeral homes were weathering the storm of the COVID-19 pandemic, navigating a new landscape while continuing to provide services of comfort and closure to Pueblo families saying their final goodbyes to loved ones.
Funeral providers, at that point, had hosted services for some Puebloans who’d died from COVID-19, but nothing exorbitant. About 65 COVID-19-related deaths were recorded in Pueblo County through Nov. 17, 2020, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
