Reverend Leonard Kofi Aglomasa, the Biakoye District Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), has called on the citizenry to protect the country’s water sources from further pollution and degradation.
He said it was important to protect the nation’s environment, especially water bodies, as water was a finite resource and could be exhausted.
“Water affects everything, when there is available water within the reach of people, it reduces the time spent by women and children looking for it,” Rev. Aglomasa said.
He was addressing congregants of the Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) Church at Bowiri Amanfrom in the Biakoye District of the Oti Region as part of activities marking the 2021 Constitution Week Celebration.

Member of Parliament for Kpando Constituency, Della Sowah has commenced the distribution of 2,000 streetlights in her constituency.
The initiative dubbed Light of the world is to ensure every part of the constituency is luminated to help improve security among others.
As part of the project, the MP has visited some churches like Winners Chapel, Assemblies of God, Narrow Gate, Eternal Light, Global, and EP Church among others.
According to Mrs.Della Sowah, all the 150 churches in the Kpando Municipality will get a maximum of six streetlights depending on their size.
Consequently, she assured the various communities, who are yet to receive theirs to keep calm for their turn.

President of the Evangelical Presbyterian University College-Ho (EPUC), Professor Edem Kwasi Bakah says, EPUC will begin commercial activities like farming, bottled water production among other activities to generate enough income for the institution.
This was contained in his investiture address, as the 3rd President of the Premier University in Ho, last Friday (March 26, 2021), at the E.P Church, Dela Cathedral, Ho-Kpodzi.
Having identified some challenges of the University upon resuming duty on February 1, 2021, Professor Bakah in his 32 minutes Address titled “This is the Time”, during the ground breaking ceremony, outlined a number of plans to help curb the financial instability of the Institution.
