Sweep It Into Space is out April 23 via Jagjaguwar. Kurt Vile co-produced the album and played 12-string guitar on the new song âI Ran Away,â which is out today. Listen to it below.

Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not. They began recording the new one in autumn 2019 at Biquiteen in Amherst, Massachusetts. After the pandemic interrupted recording with Vile, J Mascis âended up just mimicking a few things [Vile]âd done,â as he said in a press release. âBut the recording session was pretty well finished by the time things really hit the fan.â

Dinosaur Jr. have set their new album Sweep It Into Space for release on April 23rd.
Sessions for the LP began at Amherst’s Biquiteen in the late autumn of 2019, initially with the co-production talents of Kurt Vile, who also played lead 12-string on I Ran Away which is streaming below.
When the spell with Vile was interrupted, J Mascis focused on continuity by, ‘just mimicking a few things he’d done’.
“I was listening to a lot of Thin Lizzy, so I was trying to get some of that duelling twin lead sound,” Mascis continues.
