With the recent approval of the bond issue to construct a new elementary school, the Boone Board of Education and Superintendent Julie Trepa discussed ways in which the district could utilize its other properties.
Currently, the district leases a building on Story Street for its HSAP (Home School Assistance Program), at a cost of $30,000 a year. The lease on that space is up at the end of 2022. The buildings and properties, in which Lincoln and Page elementary schools are situated, are being considered for sale. Lincoln and Futures Alternative High School share a property.
