Total production US tight oil production fell by 1 million b/d to 6 million b/d in February, the lowest level in 3 years, as cold winter weather affected production in several states. This was just a blip, and based on preliminary data we expect production to have fully recovered in March. Supply Projection With the horizontal rig count now having recovered to well over 400 as of last week (according to Baker Hughes), current output can be almost sustained, as is visualized in our Supply Projection dashboard:

Tight gas output continued its upward trend since last May, although it is still below the March 2020 high (toggle Product to gas to see this).

Governor appoints several members to boards Dean Stevensen Brian Olmstead Gov. Brad Little announced the appointment of Brian Olmstead and Dean Stevensen to the Idaho Water Resource Board, as well as the appointment of Ray Hinchcliff to the Oil & Gas Conservation Commission and Mark Tschampl as chief administrator at the Idaho Division of Veterans Services. Olmstead is a Twin Falls resident and will retire from the Twin Falls Canal Company later this year after 21 years. He also served on the Idaho Water Users Board, Snake River Soil and Water Conservation District, the Upper Snake River Basin Advisory Group, Idaho Water Education Foundation, Goundwater/Surface Water Steering Committee, and the Comprehensive Aquifer Management Program Committee.
