BAY CITY, MI City Market may be closing, but Maria Vasquez, owner of Tex-Mex Grille, wants her customers to know her restaurant isn’t going anywhere.
“We feel that that’s a great location for us, and we do have our following, so it would be kind of sad if we did close,” Vasquez said.

The indoor marketplace, located at 401 Center Ave., first opened in 2017 with about 30 vendors
offering a variety of fresh produce, meats, fish and specialty items. Several months ago, the market expanded into a one-stop grocery store that still featured some independent vendors.
Now, City Market leaders have decided to close the grocery store. They announced the news via the City Market Facebook page on Tuesday, April 27.
