Father Albert Alejo, one of the lead convenors of the coalition, said they will also ask to meet with Robredo to clarify her recent meetings with some declared presidential candidates.
Robredo is one of the nominees for presidential candidate of 1Sambayan in next year’s elections. She had a meeting with Senators Richard Gordon and Panfilo Lacson, along with the latter’s runningmate Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
The Jesuit priest noted the meeting will serve as a good venue for the vice president to explain the “interpretation” of her actions.

Opposition coalition 1Sambayan on Wednesday, July 28, said it already has 24 names ready to be included in its senatorial slate for the 2022 polls, but the fear of getting attacked by President Duterte’s internet trolls is delaying their candidates’ announcements.
Retired Supreme Court Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio revealed that the coalition already has 24 nominees for its senatorial ticket, but they will have to trim this down to just 14 after they consult with their presidential and vice-presidential candidate.

“Many of them are reelectionists but I don’t have the list right now (and) we have about 24. We will probably reduce that to about 14 because as we said we will consult our presidential candidate before we finalize, so there will be a leeway for the presidential candidate to trim down also,” he added.
