EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - An Evansville woman that had several active warrants was arrested after police say she led them on a chase before abandoning her vehicle, leaving a baby inside.
Officers say they were in the area of Maryland and Edgar Street when they saw a vehicle run through a stop sign.
Officers tried to pull the driver over but say the driver took off at a high rate of speed.
HEREFORDSHIRE S burglary hotspots have been revealed in the latest data from the county s police force. The latest figures show the number of burglaries reported to each local policing town in Herefordshire in November, a total of 34.
Hereford City Southside and Rural Southside Eight burglaries were reported to the Southside team in November last year. The police were unable to prosecute their suspect for a burglary in Stonebow Road, while a burglary in Commercial Road remains under investigation, as is a further burglary in Coningsby Street. Two burglaries were reported in Edgar Street, with one currently under investigation and no suspect identified for the second.

VIROQUA –Chaseburg will be buzzing with activity when the Chaseburg Community Snowtrailers hold the 51st Annual Trail Days, Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 16-17. Chaseburg Trail Days has undergone some modifications due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. All events will take place in the lower level of the Chaseburg Village Hall. This photo is likely to bring back memories for anyone who went ‘to the pictures’ in Accrington in the Sixties and Seventies. Taken in 1974 it shows the recently refurbished New Princes Cinema on Edgar Street which used to host Saturday morning matinees for children. At the time of the photograph it was showing a double bill of The Chinese Connection and The One Armed Swordsman - both X certificate. You can also see the adult bookshop next door which had a certain notoriety in the town.
