Wade s First Alert Forecast: Rain likely this weekend, but still a lot of uncertainty By Wade Hampton | April 30, 2021 at 4:42 PM CDT - Updated April 30 at 6:20 PM
LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - As expected we saw widespread rain across Southwest Louisiana Friday, though most of it has come to an end now with only light rain lingering in some areas. I expect the rain chance to remain low overnight with only a 30% chance of a few isolated showers through daylight Saturday morning. Temperatures will remain warm and humid with lows only reaching the upper 60s to low 70s.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Lower humidity is back for a couple of days, so enjoy the comfort! Breezy this afternoon, mostly cloudy, and warming into the 70s. Clouds decrease this evening and tonight and temperatures fall to the refreshing upper 40s and lower 50s. You’ll get to enjoy partly sunny skies, lighter winds from the northeast, and highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
Our next big thing is the increasing chances to see showers and thunderstorms for the first half of next week. Sunday morning is looking dry and in the upper 50s. Cloud cover is forecast to increase Sunday afternoon with high temperatures in the lower 80s. A disturbance in Texas and Louisiana will likely spread showers and thunderstorms into Mississippi and west Alabama Sunday afternoon and evening.
FIRST ALERT: A strong storm possible this evening
FIRST ALERT WEATHER: 5AM UPDATE: 04-29-2021 By Jill Gilardi | April 29, 2021 at 5:20 AM CDT - Updated April 29 at 12:12 PM
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Mostly cloudy and spotty showers can’t be ruled out this afternoon, but the main round of rain and storms impacts central Alabama between 5-11 p.m. A strong or severe storm can’t be ruled out mainly along and north of I-20. If an isolated strong or severe storm forms, it will be capable of producing hail and or winds. Tornado threat is low but not zero. Pay attention to the weather this evening and keep up with trends via the WBRC First Alert Weather App.
After a few summer-like days with highs in the 80s, rain is back and temps will regress back to the mean high this time of year, upper 60s to lower 70s.Â
