Periodic Needed Rain Chances Through The Week

Tonight’s Forecast Low: 60F / Tuesday’s Forecast High: 74F…
It was another unseasonably warm day with highs in the mid 70s to low-mid 80s. Keep in mind average highs this time of year for the region are in the low-mid 50s! A weak cool front will track east across the region tonight, bringing a slight chance of showers and t-storms. There’s an outside chance for a strong to severe storm in northwest parts of the viewing area, but it’s a small chance. Otherwise, expect a very mild night with variably cloudy skies. Lows will be in the 50s to around 60F, closer to average highs for early April.
FIRST ALERT: Potential to see strong storms Wednesday night
First Alert Weather: 5 a.m. update 4-6-21 By Matt Daniel | April 6, 2021 at 5:30 AM CDT - Updated April 6 at 6:01 AM
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Good Tuesday morning! We are starting off the day dry and mild. Temperatures are mostly in the lower 50s with some mid to upper 40s along and east of I-65 this morning. Probably a good idea to grab a light jacket before you step out the door today. First Alert AccuTrack continues to show dry conditions across the entire Southeast. It should be another beautiful day across Alabama. Temperatures are forecast to climb into the upper 70s with a few spots possibly warming up into the lower 80s. Plan for a mostly sunny sky today with southwest winds at 5-10 mph. Take advantage of the beautiful weather today because it becomes unsettled and wet as we head into the second half of this week.

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Monday marked yet another day in the 80s after an unseasonably warm morning in the 50s and 60s. Southerly winds gusting up to 40 mph have ushered in summer-like air, and slightly higher humidity. This has given us just enough instability to pop a few showers and small thunderstorms near Lincoln, Nebraska City, and Shenandoah Monday evening.
A better chance for storms – some strong - will remain just northwest of the WOWT viewing area this evening, as a cold front approaches. Wind gusts 50 to 65 mph will be the main weather hazard. A storm could clip the Norfolk area, but most of us should not be impacted.
