Levi Christian Walsh A MAN who admitted he had been drinking and taking cocaine used a wooden stool to smash a window at his mother’s house.
Blackburn magistrates heard Levi Christian Walsh blamed his mum for his problems and his feelings had come to boiling point because of his intoxicated state. Walsh, 27, of Essex Close, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to damaging a 6ft by 4ft window belonging to Wendy Walsh. He was fined £100 for the offence but jailed for 12 weeks after the court was told the offence put him in breach of a suspended prison sentence imposed in February for another offence of damage in a domestic context. He was also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and banned from having any contact with his mother for six months.

Photo: Google Street View Roadworks are set to cause the temporary closure of several roads in Waltham Forest, Epping Forest and Harlow during this month and beyond. Notices from the London Borough of Waltham Forest and Essex County Council in this week’s edition of the Guardian detail the works that are scheduled to take place. An order comes into effect from tomorrow for the closure of Pretoria Avenue E17, between its junctions with Lime Street and Essex Close, due to the installation of multiple utility connections.
PLANS for 10 dwellings in the centre of Chard have caused outrage among local residents. These include a mixture of two bed houses and one bed flats with private gardens to the rear of 27 Fore Street. The plans is for the development to be a car free site, as it is in the centre of town, with an electric gate for pedestrians to keep the site secure. The application states: This development will provide much needed housing within the centre of Chard. Dwellings will encompass the characteristics of the local area through its quality of design, proposed materials and use of finishes while also carefully considering the neighbouring amenity spaces to ensure their level of privacy has been retained.
