More than 17% of Hamilton County residents vaccinated with first dose

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - A total of 17.6% of Hamilton County residents have received at least the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to Commissioner Denise Driehaus.
There is a disparity in who is getting the vaccine in Hamilton County though, officials said.
Officials showed data on Wednesday on the percentage of African American residents getting the vaccine in Hamilton County.
The African American population makes up 12.67% of Hamilton County’s total vaccination percentage. This makes Hamilton County second in all of Ohio counties in vaccinating African Americans.

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - The dates and times for the mass COVID-19 vaccinations at the Cintas Center have been announced.
First doses of the vaccine will be administered at the Cintas Center from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., March 18 through March 20.
Second doses at the Cintas Center will be given April 8-10 from 8:30 a.m. till 4:30 p.m.
The pop-up mass vaccination clinic will offer 10,000 first doses and 10,000 second doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

The Armor Vax app can help cut down on some of the frustrations when it comes to scheduling the vaccine appointment.
The app is available in the Apple Store and Google Play and searches for an appointment within a 40-mile radius of your location.
