RAJOURI, Jan 29: Volleyball Clubs and veteran Volleyball players of District Rajouri today pitched for election of District Volleyball Association before the upcoming 23 State Senior Volleyball Championship 2020-21.
It was unanimously decided in a meeting of all affiliated units and veteran players. The meeting was held under the leadership of In-charge Adhoc Volleyball Body District Rajouri, Mohd Tariq Khan who requested to Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir to take immediate necessary action in this matter for smooth conduct of upcoming Championship.

JAMMU, Jan 27: After making marks in professional wrestling, J&K’s Khali is trying hard to get entry into World Heavyweight Championship for which the trials will be held in mid of this year.
Arif Saleem Bohru, who goes by the ring name of Badshah Khan, played scores of fights to prove his mettle in professional wrestling in India under the patronage of Dalip Singh Rana or the Great Khali, the first Indian to win the World Heavyweight Championship in WWE.
Khan known as J&K’s Khali said that he was the first person from Jammu and Kashmir to train under the Great Khali at his Jalandhar Academy and fight the Indian version of professional wrestling, organized by the former WWE star.

POONCH, Jan 21: Nawaz Rather has become first player from District Poonch who played both Ranji Trophy (2019-20) and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (2018-19).
He had played only one match against Punjab in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy but he impressed everyone with his wicket keeping as well as batting skills. Nawaz had played cricket Under-14, Under-16 and Under-19 categories during his short career.
It is worth mentioning here that Nawaz is hard working and dedicated player who belongs to Mandi area of border district Poonch. No one from his family have cricket background but his uncle Azam Rather always supported him all the way to reach this level.
