Bear cub abandoned during storm near Manitou Springs rescued by Colorado Parks & Wildlife
MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) A bear cub that was found abandoned during Sunday night s storm has a new lease on life after being rescued by Colorado Parks & Wildlife.
CPW shared pictures of the bear on Twitter Monday and credited a homeowner near Manitou Springs who smartly called officers after discovering the bear.
The bear cub was found in Ute Pass but was picked up by CPW on Monday. The cub was given fluid and warmed up with a blanket and heater.
No other cubs were reported found, and CPW didn t report if the homeowner had interactions with any other bears.
