Power management company Eaton (NYSE:ETN) today announced it has completed the acquisition of Tripp Lite.
Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, Tripp Lite is a leading supplier of power quality products and connectivity solutions including single-phase uninterruptible power supply systems, rack power distribution units, surge protectors, and enclosures for data centers, industrial, medical and communications markets in the Americas.

Power giant Eaton is acquiring fellow power and data center hardware competitor Tripp Lite for US$1.65 billion in a move to significantly enhance its power and edge computing portfolio.
Dublin, Ireland-based Eaton, which has 92,000 employees worldwide and customers in more than 175 countries, plans to leverage Tripp Lite’s massive power and data center infrastructure portfolio that includes more than 5,000 products.

Power management company Eaton (NYSE: ETN) has agreed to acquire power quality product and connectivity solution supplier Tripp Lite. Eaton will pay $1.65 billion for the Chicago-based company, according to a news release.
Eaton is based in Ireland but has substantial operations in Beachwood. Tripp Lite, an almost 100-year-old company, supplies products like rack power distribution units and surge protectors to the industrial, medical and communications markets in the Americas.
