PENDLE PUB Walk is set to make a return in September as lockdown measures are set to ease. The walk, organised by Pendleside Hospice and Burnley Pendleside Rotary Club and raises money for Pendleside Hospice and local charities selected by the rotary club. Our Pendle Pub Walk is kindly sponsored by Alderson and Horan Funeral Services and takes place around the stunning Pendle countryside using its finest hostelries as way-points. It is expected that over 2,000 walkers will take part in the 10-mile walk which is made up of a combination of countryside and road-walking. The walk is a circular route through some of Pendle’s most scenic countryside including Fence, Barley, Roughlee, Blacko, Higherford and Barrowford, with some of the pubs along the route hosting live entertainment.
