OXFORD, Ohio â Officials with Miami University announced Thursday that they were suspending the ACT and SAT requirements for admission for fall 2022 and spring 2023.
The university said the move was to ensure equitable access to students who may have had to cancel taking either test due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The freshman class for fall 2021 was also not required to take the ACT or SAT, and the university calls this class the most academically accomplished in Miamiâs history.

Miami to hold in-person commencement ceremonies in May

OXFORD, Ohio â Miami University plans to honor more than 4,000 graduates at eight in-person commencement ceremonies at Yager Stadium in May, the university s president announced Monday.
Ceremonies will allow graduated to walk the commencement stage, and each will include remarks from 2021 Commencement speaker Dr. Carolyn Jefferson-Jenkins.
Each graduate will be allowed to invite six guests, who will sit in assigned pods distanced from other families. Masks will be required. The ceremonies, which will be held rain or shine, will also be streamed live.
