Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly’s book, “The Fight for Truth: The Inside Story Behind the Breonna Taylor Tragedy,” was to be published by Post Hill Press, senior publicist Devon Brown confirmed to the Louisville Courier Journal earlier on Thursday.

Mattingly was one of three officers that burst into Taylor s home on March 13, 2020. The narcotics raid turned ugly when Taylor s boyfriend fired at the officers, assuming the cops were intruders. Simon & Schuster Pulls Out of Distributing Book By Officer Involved in Breonna Taylor’s Killing Abid Rahman A memorial to Breonna Taylor Simon & Schuster has pulled out of distributing a proposed book by a Louisville police officer who fired at Breonna Taylor during the deadly raid at her apartment following a social media backlash. The publisher issued a statement on Thursday night addressing Post Hill Press’ plans for a book from Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly titled The Fight For Truth: The Inside Story Behind the Breonna Taylor Tragedy. “Like much of the American public, earlier today Simon & Schuster learned of plans by distribution client Post Hill Press to publish a book by Jonathan Mattingly. We have subsequently decided not to be involved in the distribution of the book,” the statement said.
