Not that long ago it would have been impossible to find a group of well-known women prepared to talk about their experiences of menopause in a national newspaper. I know, because I tried.
In 2019, when I launched my platform for midlife women, I approached lots of high-profile names to share their menopause stories. Most of them declined, with a few notable exceptions like Liz Earle and Trisha Goddard, who have been campaigning for education around this issue for a long time.

Trisha Goddard has shared an inspiring account of how she protected her bones during her cancer treatment as she teams up with the Royal Osteoporosis Society as an ambassador.
Hoping to raise awareness of the importance of bone health, Trisha - who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 - revealed: I never really gave osteoporosis or my bone density a thought until it came to my breast cancer treatment.
The presenter, 63, added: My surgeon explained that the medication I would be on for the next ten years would affect my bones.
