Second Heavy Lift Ship Arrives at Port of Cork for Liebherr Crane Consignment 21st December 2020 UHL Focus along side at Cork Docks in Cork Harbour Credit: Bob Bateman UHL Focus, the second of two heavy lift vessels has loaded four of eight RTG cranes in the Port of Cork for discharge in Berbera, Somaliland. As Afloat reported earlier, the heavy-lift operations have been ongoing at Cork Dockyard in Cork Harbour this month when the first shipment was loaded on to UHL Future,  This week s second sister ship arrival will load the other half of the Liebherr cargo. The vessel, a General Cargo Ship was built in 2019 and is sailing under the flag of Madeira.

APM Terminals Pipavav handles the highest number of Double Stack trains APM Terminals Pipavav reached another milestone in November 2020, when the Port handled the highest number of double stack trains to several Inland Container Depot (ICDs). The port handled 181 double stack trains in November 2020, out of which 157 trains were outward double stack trains. This is the highest number of outward double stack trains on a monthly basis since the port started its operations. The Port is the pioneer in introducing the concept of block train loading that is dedicated for customers and the fast transit of valued cargo. During November, many such block trains were loaded and dedicated for our valuable customers. In November, the average train operation time was maintained under 4 hours per train. During the month various commodities were transported from/to Pipavav port. The trains departed to various hinterland locations in northwest.
