From its beginnings with a handful of Lewes volunteers in 2013 to its current reach – over 150 volunteers serving more than 260 members in the Lewes, Milton and Rehoboth Beach areas – Village Volunteers has built on the commitment and compassion of both volunteers and members to help older neighbors live independently.

Generosity of Volunteering a Win for the Entire Community

As part of Global Volunteer Month and National Volunteer Week, held April 18-24, 2021, the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa (CFNEIA) is celebrating its more than 350 volunteers who serve 23 affiliate community foundations across a 20-county region. CFNEIA is also calling attention to how volunteering can benefit both the volunteer and the entire community.

The Palo Alto County Community Foundation is a CFNEIA affiliate and volunteers who serve on the local governing committee include: J.R. Brown, Stacy Brugman, Rosemary Clouse, Gene Englin, Kathy Gunderson, Greg Hoyman, Don Miller (chair), and Anne Nelson.
