Highlighting the opportunities, Prime Minister Modi said that with the increasing popularity of Ayurveda, a strong opportunity awaits us, and we must not lose it.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asserted that the world realised the importance of Ayurveda and traditional medicines during Covid-19 and the current situation presents the right time for Ayurveda and traditional medicines to become even more popular globally.
Addressing the inaugural session of the 4th Global Ayurveda Festival â Virtual Conference and Expo, organised by FICCI, Modi said, There is growing interest in them and the world is seeing how the modern and traditional medicines both are important to further wellness. THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Scientist of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Sowmya Swaminathan on Saturday said the need of the hour was a people-centric health system and countries investing more in research in the health sector.
Delivering the keynote address at the fourth edition of the Global Ayurveda Festival 2021, she saidit is essential for people to achieve health literacy. What is needed is a people-centric health system. Significant developments in the healthcare system can be achieved through creating awareness among the common man considering their opinion too, she said.

The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi today addressed the fourth Global Ayurveda Festival through virtual mode, taking place from 12 to 19 March.
There are live sessions including plenaries, symposiums, parallel sessions, paper presentations, virtual exhibition and virtual networking. Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA), in association with the Governmental and Non-Governmental bodies, is organizing this Global Ayurveda Festival.
