MT civic leaders work to raise awareness about elder abuse MTN and last updated 2021-06-15 18:17:19-04 June 15th is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, and on Tuesday, civic leaders met in Helena to raise awareness about the issue in Montana. The attendees included Governor Greg Gianforte; Attorney General Austin Knudsen; Adam Meier of the Department of Montana Public Health & Human Services, Mike Grove, CEO of Bank of the Rockies; and Michael Hagenlock of DPHHS Adult Protective Services. At the Bank of the Rockies, Gianforte said elder abuse affects thousands of Montanans each year, but there are resources available and prevention steps people can take to protect themselves and their loved ones.

Elder abuse awareness campaign launches Elder abuse awareness campaign launches 15 June 2021 • By Lauren Croft Share The Australian government has launched a national elder abuse awareness campaign, coinciding with World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. The campaign has been launched by the Morrison government to not only bring awareness to the issue but to protect the health and wellbeing of older Australians and keep them safe from elder abuse. Launched on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, the campaign will highlight the significant social issue and help those who are at risk of experiencing elder abuse to take action and seek support. Support can be accessed by calling 1800 ELDERHelp and through the elder abuse knowledge hub at Compass.info.
