The 19
th edition of Berlinale Talents has published its âdreamyâ programme and aims to retain its encounter-led character for this online version. Under this yearâs theme of âdreamsâ, the summit, which runs during the European Film Market (1-5 March), is inviting 205 film professionals to collaborate, share solidarity and explore the collectivity of new visions as a source of courage in the face of the pandemic, but also as a way out of it.

An online film screening event titled ‘Berlinale Spotlight World Cinema Fund’ will begin at Goethe-Institut in the capital on Friday.
World Cinema Fund (WCF) initiated the film screening series in South Asia (India, Paistan, Srilanka and Bangladesh), said a press release on Saturday.
The online series will showcase outstanding international productions in the next four months. In addition to the sessions, each screening will be followed by a live QA Talk with the filmmakers moderated by award-winning auteur Director Kamar Ahmad Simon from Bangladesh.
Kamar himself has been awarded with WCF for his upcoming film ‘Shikolbaha’ (Iron Stream). All the films have been carefully picked from more than two hundred WCF awarded films. The selected bundle has already been in official selection of many international festivals and made notable audience reception for their cinematic brilliance.

Kamar Ahmad Simon will host the special online screening titled, Berlinale Spotlight: World Cinema Fund . The special screening has been arranged by Goethe-Institut Bangladesh for the first time in four South Asian countries namely India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
The Auteur will conduct the live Q&A session with Berlinale s Caligari Film Prize and Buenos Aires International Festival winner Tamer. I agreed to the event after knowing of the scope to chat with contemporary art-house filmmakers around the world, shared Kamar who has also received World Cinema Fund (WCF) from Berlinale for his upcoming film Shikolbaha (Iron Stream). The film is currently in the post-production phase.
