Radiator trade body calls on merchants to help eliminate bogus products 17 March, 2021 SHARE The Manufacturers Association of Radiators and Convectors (MARC) has called upon UK Merchants and showrooms to help raise industry standards and eliminate radiator products with over-inflated heat output claims from the market.
Launched in 2020, the ‘You are what you Heat’ campaign highlighted the importance for heating systems and homes to be fit and healthy of having quality, CE/UKCA marked radiators, whether sold into the construction industry or purchased online.

A campaign intended to eliminate ‘bogus radiator products’ from the UK market is seeking industry support to tackle goods that fail to meet required standards.
The Manufacturers Association of Radiators and Convectors (MARC) said it was extending the scope of its consumer-focused, ‘You are what you heat’ campaign to seek the support of manufacturers and suppliers in upholding quality and efficiency. The original campaign was launched last year to build consumer understanding and awareness about ensuring radiators in their home carry the correct markings showing they meet standards.
