Positioned atop the handsome, two-tiered fountain that has stood outside the Frontenac County Court House National Historical Site for well over a century, Demeter has welcomed countless tourists and visiting dignitaries and the reigning monarch, who offered a royal wave as her motorcade passed along Court Street in 1973.
