Kangana Ranaut Office Demolition: BMC Commissioner Summoned By MHRC In Relation To The Case In January 2021

Kangana Ranaut’s office demolition case is now seeing some major developments months after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) bulldozed the property. In a hearing on the case in November, the Bombay High Court upheld Kangana challenging the demolition of her Palli Hill property in Mumbai, and the notice issued by the BMC for illegal contraction to the actress was quashed.
Now, the Maharashtra Human Rights Commission (MHRC) is the latest body to jump into action on the case. Reportedly a petition against the demolition was filed by a lawyer in the MHRC and now taking a cue from the High Court, the body has summoned BMC’s commissioner Iqbal Chahal. According to reports Chahal has been asked to appear before the MHRC in person on 21 January 2021.
