The iconic Italian brand kicked off its fiscal year in April and announced its most aggressive franchise goal to date. Following its record-breaking 2021 fiscal year in which Fazoli’s signed 20 franchise agreements to develop 50 new locations, the brand set out to double its previous record with anticipation of signing 40 new franchisees for 100 locations.
In its first quarter alone, the renowned, Lexington-based brand executed eight area development agreements to add 22 new locations to its pipeline. Fazoli’s ended its fiscal year in March, with a record 20 new franchise agreements to develop 50 locations, exceeding the most agreements Fazoli’s had signed in a single year in its 33-year history. Now, Fazoli’s aims to double that record by signing 40 new franchisees to add 100 locations to its pipeline this fiscal year.
To help achieve its biggest growth push in brand history, Fazoli’s CEO Carl Howard announced today that the company has welcomed David Boatright as its new director of franchise sales. In this position, Boatright will work alongside Senior Director of Franchise Sales Steve Bailey to bring highly qualified new franchisees to the brand.

Although Kentucky-based Fazoli s broke its own development record in March when it ended the fiscal year with 20 franchise agreements calling for 50 locations, the chain is planning to double that over the next fiscal year by signing 40 deals to open 100 locations before the end of 2022, a news release said.
To help achieve the goal, Fazoli s has hired David Boatright as director of franchise sales, where he ll work with Steve Bailey, the chain s senior director of Franchise Sales. Boatright held similar roles at Bojangles and Front Burner Brands.
