Sarah Taffer Blasius, of Terrell, passed away peacefully on Dec. 15, 2020 at her home with family at her side. Sarah was born Feb. 1, 1938 in Terrell and she was met in Heaven by her father, James M. Taffer, mother, Frances (Darst) Taffer Berry, her step father, William D. Berry, husband, Willie Jack Blasius and brother, Edward âEddieâ Taffer.
Sarah graduated from Terrell High School in 1956 where, in addition to her academic aptitude, she was an accomplished tennis player on the THS team and was a Flag Bearer with the Color Guard. On March 29, 1958, she married the love of her life, Willie Jack Blasius at Rockwall and Brin Church of Christ, and together they had many wonderful years until his passing in 1997. A loving and supportive wife in all aspects, Sarah was the foundation in their family as Jackâs job opportunities took them to various cities in Texas. She made sure to make their house a home, become a part of their new cityâs activities along with finding
Vandal smashes a dozen car windows near West Rogers Park cemetery

West Rogers Park, in the same block where a similar crime happened three weeks earlier.
About 12 vehicles were damaged between midnight at 8:45 a.m. in the 6000 block of North Oakley Avenue near Rosehill Cemetery, according to Chicago police.
The windows were smashed but no items were taken from the vehicles, police said.
On Dec. 3, a similar crime was reported in the same block after someone apparently smashed 18 vehicle windows.
