THESE were the scenes on two Bradford streets yesterday as members of the public lent a hand to free stranded ambulances from the snow. During the day, Omar Shah used his four-wheel drive off-roader to help free an ambulance, while in the evening a whole street mucked in to clear the way for an ambulance in Shipley. These were just two examples of the great community spirit that was on show yesterday across the district, helping emergency services on their journeys to help those in need, clearing the way for other road users and giving people a push to escape snowy conditions.
