Most groups that rely on fundraising or donations have been suffering for the last year or so, since the start of the pandemic.
Sobeys owner Jason McCauley, a supporter of the High River Legion Branch 71 and their annual Poppy Campaign, felt that the Poppy Campaign has probably not been receiving the support they typically see because of the downturn of the economy and the ability to be able to fundraise, because of social distancing measures in place brought by the pandemic.
