The Rochester City Council voted 5-2 this week to approve a contract that could cost nearly $6.9 million for up to four 60-foot electric buses.

KAAL-TV Created: April 21, 2021 10:48 AM (ABC 6 News) - Monday, the Rochester City Council approved the purchase of up to four 60-foot battery electric buses and charging equipment for Rochester Public Transit.  The contract is with New Flyer North America with buses and charging equipment with expected delivery in late fall this year.  This investment by the City of Rochester in renewable fuels and sustainable transit is funded mainly through federal grants. Local matching funds will come from RPT’s operating fund balance.
