In its latest report tabled on the Parliament on Tuesday, the Comptroller and Auditor General has said that five companies Tata Teleservices, Telenor, Videocon Telecom, Quadrant and Reliance Jio have understated their revenues by Rs 14,813.97 crore for different periods up to 2014-15, and a consequent shortfall in government collection of Rs 2,578.83 crore.

HAMILTON, Bermuda (AP) Assured Guaranty Ltd. (AGO) on Thursday reported first-quarter net income of $11 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Hamilton, Bermuda-based company said it had profit of 14 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 55 cents per share.
The insurance holding company posted revenue of $179 million in the period.
Assured Guaranty shares have climbed 62% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 82% in the last 12 months.
