It’ll be held on Saturday, May 29, and is considered a fun, must-participate in event for those wishing to start a vegetable garden this year. The Transition Cornwall+ Food Action Group inviting people to pick up free vegetable plants and seeds from one of four locations in Cornwall and area, and everyone is welcome.

Incredible Edibles engage local gardeners May 7, 2021 Reading time: 2 min Living sustainably with Transition Cornwall+ by Penny Bateman and Karen Carriere Look for Incredible Edibles on the Road, May 29, when Transition Cornwall+ Food Action Group again gives free vegetable seedlings to our community. Nine years ago, our members gathered on a drizzly morning to re-pot 300 seedlings into large pots to give away. We hoped people could discover the value and joy of growing and eating their own fresh food, even if they only had a window sill. The line-ups of happy expectant ‘gardeners’ confirmed the interest and need. This success spawned our popular annual ‘festival’ of plants, activities and live music.

The live event, titled Plan Your Garden and Support Local, kept things basic for the most part, but Rendek and Lucey did get into the weeds at times, addressing specific issues while alternating between slides and answering questions from the chat box.
