Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick has launched the Substance Abuse and Addiction Loss Support Group for families who are coping with loss due to addiction.
The free and confidential support group meets virtually on the second Thursday of every month from 7-8:30 p.m.
Inspired by Saint Peter’s Opioid Task Force, the Substance Abuse and Addiction Loss Support Group is for families and close loved ones of people who have passed away from addiction.
The support group is open to everyone in New Jersey and serves as a safe space for families to discuss their grief.

Deliveroo Hong Kong has extended its Food Drive initiative to all of its restaurant partners by inviting them to join the cause and encourage additional donations.
The extension of the initiative, in partnership with Feeding Hong Kong, is aimed at raising further awareness towards food insecurity in the city and encouraging Hongkongers to get involved in this important issue. The Anshe Emeth Community Development Corp (AECDC) Central Jersey Diaper Bank is collecting baby clothing sizes newborn-2T, diapers and books.
Donations can be picked up if within Middlesex County. Volunteers from the Rutgers School of Nursing will arrive between 10 a.m. and noon on the day indicated.
At this time, no shoes, equipment, toys, etc. can be collected.
Hopewell Theater’s reopening plans will focus on ensuring the comfort of patrons.
Staff members are collaborating with health officials and industry professionals to create a safe environment for a future reopening.
Roselle Lions Club host Hope Springs Eternal Blood Drive April 13

Following the success of two recent Food Drives at which close to 10,000 items were collected, the Roselle Lions Club is hoping its next event, Hope Springs Eternal Blood Drive, will be equally as successful.
Because of the Coronavirus pandemic blood donations have been less than normal.
The Lions hope to help this situation with its blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, at the Roselle American Legion hall, 344 E. Maple Ave.
Those interested in donating blood must make an online appointment.
